So, today I went sky diving for the first time! As someone with an extreme phobia of both planes and heights, I was terrified. Luckily for me, everyone at Skydive Newport was so friendly and calming. My best friend and I went up with two very experienced instructors who talked to us the whole time, reminding us that this was all very technical and safe, and that we were in good hands.

THE JUMP WAS AMAZING. It feels like you're flying! The sights are beautiful, and once the adrenaline sets in fear goes out the window. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone, and if I ever go again I'll be sure to come back here!

My wife and I went to Skydive Newport for our first skydive after meeting Marc and Cherri on our honeymoon. The entire experience was fantastic - they were professional but energetic and excited to share the experience with us. The scenery is unbelievable between Newport, Block Island, and the Vineyard. I highly recommend the video package - it's worth every penny! Unforgettable experience and we plan to revisit with friends very soon. Thanks again Marc and Cherri!

I went skydiving for the first time yesterday and all I can say is...wow. I used to be scared of roller coasters and now this! I was terrified of the free fall and thought I would want it to be over as soon as possible, but I loved it! My instructor, Rich, was completely accurate in his description - once the first 5 sec of acceleration are done, it's wonderful and not scary anymore. Nothing like the "stomach drop" of roller coasters. What a crazy, amazing experience! I went up with my fiance and his instructor, Eric, was amazing as well. They were a great calming influence but were also great at pumping you up and it was clear they loved their job. The business runs smoothly, efficiently, and professionally. I even went up on a semi-cloudy day - still amazing. Who gets to free fall and see a cloud!? And still great views. Oh! And once they heard we lived in Newport the pilot flew over to give us a bird's eye view of our house! They went out of their way to make it a great experience all around.

Skydive Newport was amazing! I called at the beginning of the day and asked if it would be possible to do a tandem jump that morning. While they were obviously busy, they were happy to accommodate me. The were extremely polite, courteous, and professional. For my tandem instructor, Eric, I will add patient, confident & unassuming. The check in process was swift and I was up in a plane soon after arriving. While I felt Skydive Newport takes safety very seriously, I was still a little nervous jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. Eric made me feel comfortable during the flight up to 10,000ft and was encouraging throughout the skydive. The dive was breathtaking! What a stunning location for a skydive... watching tall ships sail along the glistening ocean, looking at sandy beaches and rocky shores... You really can't beat the professionalism and personableness of the staff, the efficiency and safety of the organization, and the stunning scenery around Newport Rhode Island. I highly recommend Skydive Newport!

I went skydiving for the first time with these guys last weekend. I've wanted to go since I was twelve or so, and these guys really helped it live up to all my wildest and most exciting dreams.

From the moment I walked in, the whole atmosphere was one of laid-back professionalism, very encouraging and friendly. There was a guy just certifying as a solo diver as I arrived, and the staff was clearly every bit as psyched as he was.

Checking in was quick and painless, some instruction and we were rolling. I was impressed by how many people came by to check on us and our gear as we waited - I felt very safe. The whole staff was super friendly.

The flight itself was beautiful and the view beyond words. If you want a scenic skydive, I cannot recommend this place enough. We could see from Long Island to Boston.

...And the jump! Again, I never felt anything but safe. I'm admittedly the opposite of afraid of heights, but Nicky's enthusiasm and professionalism let me know I was clearly in safe hands. No worries, just pure exhilaration.

My wife has always wanted to skydive on her 50th birthday and this past Saturday we arranged a surprise for her at Skydive Newport. This was her 1st time ever skydiving and we will definitely be back. From the moment we walked in the door everyone there was super helpful and humble, no airs about them but you could tell they all knew what they were doing. They go through an instructional video with you and provide all the gear. Even a jumpsuit if that helps you feel more comfortable

My wife's instructor was Nicky Sergi, who was awesome. He put her at ease, talked her through everything, and we could tell from the video that he was having as much fun as she was. The guys on the ground talked to us constantly and even knew which chute was hers. When it opened they pointed her out to me right away.

I highly recommend doing the video dvd and photo cd. The photos really capture some of the great moments that you don't always pick up on on the video. Nothing better than seeing as far away as Cape Cod and the Islands on a beautiful clear day.

We will definitely be back. I personally have a great fear of heights but am planning on doing this next year with my wife on our birthday, since our birthdays are only 2 days apart.

As a small business owner myself, I know you can only be as good as your people and the people here are fantastic. You can just tell when the people working there are enjoying themselves and having as much or more fun than you are. And you can also see their attention to details and safety.

Last week I had an experience of a life time. I absolutely hate heights, I hate planes, and I have a fear of falling. NEVER in a million years would I have thought I would jump out of a perfectly safe moving airplane, and now I cannot wait to do it again! The instructors were very friendly and informative. They told us step by step everything that was going to happen and made me really feel comfortable. There were 6 of us that were jumping so we went in pairs on 2. The plane ride was about 10 minutes long and then it was time to get ready to jump out. The view was absolutely amazing from the plane and even better when you are free falling over it all. You freefall for about 30-45 seconds and then its all relaxing from there. As much as I hate heights, I wouldn't mind seeing the view from up there again! The landing was very easy and it was definitely nice to be on the ground safely. Nicky was my instructor, he was great and really made my first time sky diving an amazing one. He was talkative, friendly, and really seems to love his job. So after my boyfriend and I jumped, it was time to send the next 2 up. We were able to watch the plane as it went higher and higher into the air. As it went up there was a radio telling us know how high they were and right when they would be getting ready to jump so we would be able to watch. It was really cool to see the 2 little dots fall out of a plane. Another really cool option is the video, which I of course had to get. It was $95 which was well worth it for a video and still shots. It shows you at the beginning when you're getting suited up, the plane ride, the free fall, EVERYTHING. I have re-watched my video a thousand times. It was so cool to watch and re-experience it all over again. Everything there was just so well done, I would't want to go anywhere else unless I could take the staff with me! I really recommend sky diving, but even more, I recommend doing it here. It was an amazing experience and I cannot wait to go again! Thank you to the staff for making it all so amazing!

I just turned 18 and I have wanted to skydive for years! After careful research, I picked Skydive Newport and was overwhelmingly thrilled with the experience! The safety ratings are perfect, making a reservation is simple, jumping is reasonably priced, and the staff is all extremely helpful and friendly. I felt very prepared for my jump and my instructor, Nick, was amazing and let me know step by step what was going on. When you arrive, you watch an informative video and then suit up and fly up to 10,000 with a GORGEOUS view. Seriously, just the plane ride is breathtaking in itself. The freefall is not scary at all, but rather exhilarating and the dive over the ocean cannot be beat! The picture/video package is also well worth it, as I received a high quality recording and over 50 stills. I am already planning my next jump at Skydive Newport!

I just returned from my first skydive. First of all, let me say that the staff is wonderful. Everyone has such a positive, friendly attitude and genuine enthusiasm for their jobs, from the plane pilot to the tandem instructor to the dude who preps the parachute for you (hi, Joe!). The instructors who facilitated my and my sister's jumps, Nicky and Eric, were amazing-totally down-to-earth (no pun intended), and clearly prioritized making us feel comfortable and excited. I felt completely safe during the entire experience. The plane ride up is wonderful in and of itself: the journey is surprisingly smooth, and it takes about 10 minutes to reach 10,000 feet. The views out the windows are breathtaking, and the tandem instructors very amusing and friendly during the cozy ride. The skydive experience itself is completely unique: the 35 seconds of absolute freefall made me feel truly alive and expansive. The view on the way down during the freefall combined with the ultra-sensory experience of the wind and gravity is extraordinary. This is followed by a delightful parachute ride back home to earth. The tandem instructors will do spiral dives with you if you ask them! I had never skydived before so I can't compare this establishment's to any other's, but I am completely thrilled with my experience at Newport Skydive and wish I could go again tomorrow!

Fantastic staff and very well run organization. As far as the actual dive-incomparable! Between the ocean visuals and the naturally beautiful landscape of Newport, you will not find a more ascetic view from above. Beats Skydive Pepperell 100%!!
